Fayetteville Tri-Sports Kid’s Triathlon Information:

Race Day: Saturday June 21st

Start time: 8:00 am

Transition Area will open by 7:00 am

Entry Fee:  $25.00 ($30 after June 10th) No race day registration.

Families with multiple children will receive $5.00 discount per child registered.

Packet Pickup:  Lewis and Clark Outfitters Inc. 4915 S. Thompson, Springdale, AR.

Friday, June 20th 4pm-7pm

Awards:  For each individual age, (7 yrs, 8 yrs, 9 yrs, etc.) 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded to both boys and girls.

Amenities:  Each competitor will receive a t-shirt and all participants completing the race will receive a finisher’s medal.  Post race food and drinks will be provided by Camille’s Sidewalk Café and post race fun with bouncy castles will be provided by FAC Kid’s Factory.  All competitors’ names will be in a drawing to win a Kid’s Bike provided by Lewis and Clark Outfitters.  Other door prizes will also be provided.

Location:  Fayetteville Athletic Club is located at 2870 E Zion Road, Fayetteville, AR 72703

Important: This is a USAT sanctioned event.  All kids must have an approved helmet to compete.  Race age will be determined by age on 12/31/08.

Course Distances:

Age 7-8: 50 yd swim; 1 mile bike; ½ mile run

Age 9-11: 100 yd swim; 2 mile bike; ½ mile run

Age 12-14: 150 yd swim; 3 mile bike; 1mile run

Results:  Atomic Racing Systems will time the event and results will be posted at www.atomicracingsystems.com.

Photos:  Tom Ewart from Northwest Arkansas Photography will be taking photographs during the race.  You will be able to view the photos at www.nwaphotos.com.

The use of assistive devices including flotation devices and training wheels will be allowed during the triathlon.  However,athletes using these devices will not be eligible for a trophy.  These athletes will receive finisher’s medals if appropriate.

In the event that the triathlon must be cancelled due to inclement weather, we are sorry to announce that refunds will not be granted.

Registration may be transferred from one child to another if the child registered is unable to participate and the race director is notified no later than Friday, June 20th by 7:00 pm.
